My name is Emily and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida.First, I want to acknowledge how brave you are in taking this step towards healing. I look forward to walking with you on this journey. I received my education from Palm Beach Atlantic University and started working with the State Attorney's Office as a crisis counselor for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. I have since transitioned to working with children and teens in the public school system. What is your approach to therapy? I have over 6 years serving individuals who have experienced childhood trauma, bullying and peer pressure, divorce, sexual assault, domestic violence, self-esteem/self-worth crisis, relationship concerns, and life changes. I use evidence based practices with both adolescent and adults to achieve the best care. I am play therapy informed and utilize this practice with my younger clients.
