About

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in Washington, DC with over 5 years experience with people experiencing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and life changes (including major health events or disability). I've also worked with individuals experiencing grief as well as relationship issues due to difficulties with communication.

Therapy is an avenue for us to get to know ourselves better and then make the changes that will increase fulfillment in our lives. My approach is to first create a welcoming environment that cultivates trust, respect, and compassion. With a solid relationship as our base, we will then explore the difficulties you may be facing, the goals you have, and the difference it would make in your life to reach those goals. It is important to me to truly understand where you would like to be so I can support you in getting there. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach in therapy because we are all unique human beings. Thus I use a variety of modalities including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance commitment therapy.

Our mental health needs to be well in order for us to confidently move through the world and pave our path. It can be scary to take those first steps towards change and it takes much courage to do so.
