Hello. My name is Emily and I am therapist who has been working people of many walks of life for 7 years. It has been my pleasure to assist in helping folks to find their way, or determine their next steps in more challenging times, or when increased supports are needed. I obtained my master's degree at a program through San Francisco State University and eventually moved back to the east coast. I have worked as a counselor in high schools and adult drug rehabilitation centers, as an outpatient psychotherapist for adults and teens, and provided crisis assessment hospital emergency rooms. I am invested in providing you support, learning your unique attributes and qualities and walking that line with you to help you determine which direction is right for you. My approach is client centered, while also utilizing some additional therapeutic tools and frameworks (cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic and family of origin frameworks, trauma focused care,self compassion framework and mindfulness therapy) to help assist in generating some traction along the way. My goal is to hold space for what you need and to allow the time you need to explore that.
