Hello, I'm Emily Curtis, LCSW in WNY with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. During my studies I focused heavily on end of life planning, LGBT elders, dementia, and restraint use. I strive to be a strong advocate and promote that resilience in those I work for. My clinical interests include effective short term models (Problem Solving Therapy, , Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behavioral Activation, CBT for Trauma), interest in long term work with Borderline Personality Disorder, DBT, ADHD and Autism support and structuring. Experience with adults ages 18-80+, focused on independent living skills, grief counseling, self-advocacy, depression, anxiety, trauma healing, harm reduction. Sex positive. Striving to be antiracist. Happy to educate and welcome in a gentle way.
