I am Emiley Delgado, a licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas. Over the past 10 years I have worked in a range of settings including Hospitals, Clinics, Private Practice, Law Enforcement, Child Protective Services, and non-Profit Agencies. I have worked with clients across the human life span doing play therapy with young children, psychotherapy with adolescence and adults, end of life guidance with the geriatric population and terminally ill patients, and trauma/emergency care across all age groups. I work with individuals, families, and couples. I also have experience working with marginalized populations including but not limited to immigrant populations and LBGT+, racially/ethnically, physically and intellectually challenged individuals. I'm experienced addressing a range of issues from moderate to severe mental health diagnosis to difficulty coping with life struggles and relationship difficulties. My experience includes but is not limited to clients seeking help for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship/marital issues, family dysfunction, personality/mood disorders, parenting difficulties, OCD, ADD/ADHD, Autism, behavioral disturbances, schizophrenia, body image/eating disorders, addiction/substance abuse, sexuality and identity.

I practice holistically in that I believe in nurturing all aspects of a person to find solutions to problems. I believe in restoring a balance of mental, physical, and spiritual health for optimal healing and quality of life. In my person centered, strength-based approach, I tailor client interactions and session efforts to fit every unique individual. I believe in an honest but thoughtful and sensitive delivery of information and guide my clients to greater understanding of the issues they are experiencing. I offer solutions from evidenced base research and practice and strive to create realistic solutions with the client that can be applied and fit conveniently into their daily routine and lifestyle. I am eclectic in my efforts to find what mode of therapy and methods fit a particular person and situation.

As a person, I lead with kindness and strive to be an example of what I believe humanity should be. I strive to leave this world in a better condition then when I entered it by improving the quality of life of others. My love of science and fascination with the field of mental health, paired with my desire to nurture human life, has led me to my career choice. I am devoted to my clients and strive to make every interaction a step toward healing and clarity towards a achieving the best version of ourselves.
