Hello. My name is Elrita Godbold and I am glad you are here. Congrats on taking your first step towards wellness, I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Lincoln University in PA and my Master's Degree in Social work from Rutger's University in NJ. I received my clinical license 2006. I have worked as an administrator, a clinician and I currently have a private practice. I have worked with diverse populations who's presenting problems have included Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Trauma, Anxiety and Work related stress. I take pride in my work and enjoy helping others learn how to live their best lives.
I specialize in Anxiety, as it has exploded as an initial diagnosis hard over the past few years, especially since the pandemic hit in 2020. Everyone is looking for a way to make sense out of the events over the past 2 years and often the type of support offered by Find A Therapist is what is needed.
In my therapeutic approach I utilize CBT which connects your thoughts and emotions to your behaviors. I also use DBT along with psychoeducation which empowers you and gives you the appropriate tools to be successful. I believe in treating the whole person, mind and body. I teach mindfulness strategies such as visualization, and meditation, as well as other relaxation strategies to help you manage life's daily stressors.
