About

You are the expert of your own life. You hold all of the answers within you. Together, we will uncover and explore these aspects of yourself.
As your counselor, I will provide a safe, compassionate space for you to discover your truth. It is an honor to stand with my clients as they navigate through hardships and challenges. This is a judgment free zone. We all have blindspots within our own lives that require support from others. Counseling can help you look into those unseen places to gain new perspectives and objective feedback.
I have worked in this field for over 15 years in a variety of settings with clients from many different backgrounds and cultures. I am skilled to work with symptoms of anxiety, shame and guilt, victims of domestic abuse, unresolved childhood trauma, low self worth, substance abuse, challenges related to LGBTQ+, relationship issues, unhealthy communication, parenting challenges, and anger issues.
Modalities I use include solution focused, trauma informed, client centered, mindfulness based, and ego psychology. These approaches can help clients develop new skills to stop dwelling on the past or future, decrease emotional suffering, identify rigid or limiting thoughts, release defense mechanisms, understand unresolved trauma, and end the repetition of unhealthy patterns in relationships.
My style is warm, down to earth, creative, and calm. In counseling, we don’t always hear what we want to hear, but rather what we need to hear to fully heal. I make sure to do this with the utmost care and compassion. I understand how uncomfortable it can be to open up to a stranger and it is important to me that my clients feel genuine support, connection, and respect. Together we will work at a pace that you set, in whatever way you choose to access your counseling sessions. Addressing your needs through counseling can give you the ability to fully awaken to your greatest potential and be free to create the fulfilling life you deserve.
