About

I am a clinical mental health counselor and addiction specialist licensed in North Carolina with over 7 years of experience working as a substance use and trauma counselor. Additionally, I am a neuro-linguistic programming practitioner. I primarily work with clients who have experienced traumatic or burn injury and/or substance use related medical complications requiring hospitalization, so I often work with clients to address the wide range of concerns that come with acute hospitalization including post-traumatic stress disorder, crisis, grief and loss, caregiver fatigue, identity issues, rehabilitation, depression, and anxiety.

My counseling style is strength-based and solution-focused. I believe you have resources within yourself to achieve your goals, and my work is to help you access those. My client-centered approach combines various theoretical orientations and interventions to create a process and treatment plan to meet your individual needs.
