Hello! My name is Elizabeth Ann Weisburger, but I go by “Annie.” I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSW-C) in Maryland. I graduated from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2016 with a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and have been a Clinical Social Worker in Baltimore City since then.
I have experience in medical social work in a hospital setting, which involved issues of adjustment to illness, grief and loss, and perinatal mood disorders. In my experience as a therapist working with underserved populations in an outpatient clinic , I recognize that environment, culture, traumatic events, and societal systems greatly impact mental well-being.
I appreciate and acknowledge the courage it takes to want to make a change, and I believe in meeting clients where they are in their journey. I see clients as capable individuals taking charge of their life, goals, and growth. I believe in working from a culturally informed and sensitive perspective, and recognize that not one therapy modality fits all.
I believe in working collaboratively with clients drawing from various therapeutic techniques including, but not limited to CBT, Solution- Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am here to help empower, motivate, and encourage clients to gain insight and skills to manage mental health symptoms, and achieve their personal, professional, and interpersonal relationship goals.
