Throughout our lives, it’s common to feel lost, be stuck in ruts, or find that events we thought we left long behind are still plaguing us today. Relationships we’ve always counted on to support and lift us up may be crumbling away, or worse, knocking us down. I appreciate the difficulty it takes to ask for help or to invite someone else into your fears and perceived flaws. We are more than our mistakes, and in my practice, I respect the courage it takes to navigate through the difficult emotions brought to therapy sessions. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it’s my goal to help you feel respected and create a safe environment for you to share what you need to during therapy. It is my intention to empower you, strengthen your individuality, help to strengthen your belief that you have great worth, and not to foster dependency. I predominantly work with adults on issues such as self-esteem, relationships, trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am trained as an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist. EMDR is an alternative method to talk-therapy that has been proven to be highly successful in resolving trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression.
