About

I am an independently licensed clinical social worker who is licensed in both Florida (LCSW) and Michigan (LMSW-Clinical and Macro). I have over 15 years of professional experience working with both individuals and families in addition to macro level systems/teams. I have worked with clients through the whole continuum of life from birth to death. My clinical knowledge includes mental health diagnosis, treatment planning, brief interventions, and ongoing psychotherapy. I have worked with clients across multiple settings including while in the hospital, outpatient clinics, and in the home. I have 10 years of experience working with veterans and their caregivers/families. My experience includes working with veterans through their full veteran life span from the transition from active duty through end of life. Additionally, I have experience and training in working with individuals in crisis, treatment of adolescents, and those facing child welfare concerns.

My clinical approach is solution focused. I assist my clients with developing a robust “tool box” of coping skills and mindfulness exercises to help navigate our challenging world. My clinical practice includes helping clients with depression, adjustment to illness, stress and anxiety, and coping with grief and loss. I work with clients to them navigate and cope with life’s changes and challenges.

My goal is always to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment, where my clients feel supported, and leave feeling empowered. I always to start where my client is and help them work towards their identified goals. I offer empathy, support, guidance, and a listening ear when needed. I help my clients develop tools to help navigate and cope with the stressors that life may bring. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and strength.
