About
Hi! My name is Beth Hoch, LCSW. I have been in the field for over 30 years. I have primarily worked with women, young children, parents, and co-parenting couples. Life brings many challenges and our early experiences can set us up for difficulties later in life. Exploring this time can bring about many important insights. I will walk alongside you through whatever is troubling or painful. I will shine a light on the path, offer reflections and provide unconditional support as you grow and become the best you possible. My approach I have experience with attachment theory, family systems, internal family systems, mindfulness, somatic psychotherapy, infant-parent therapy, and child/family development. As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, the theoretical approach I use depends on your concerns and what best works for you. You are the expert. I am here to support, offer my knowledge, and hold a space where you can feel and express all your feelings. The therapeutic relationship is an opportunity to learn and explore new ways of communicating in a safe environment. Ultimately, healing, growth, change, and acceptance are the north star. I look forward to speaking with you and exploring the possibilities of working together. Be well! My focus I work with people who are struggling with depression and/or anxiety, grief/loss, childhood trauma, life transitions, parenting/co-parenting, and people who want to be more embodied in their life. My communication style Together, we co-create a safe space that allows you to feel comfortable sharing your difficult or traumatic experiences. We might start with a short mindful moment to settle in, review some objectives for the session and if there was some homework, check in on how it went. My hope is that you will be honest and open with me about what is helpful and not helpful. Therapy doesn't always feel good. But, you will not be alone. Together I hope will find the healing and freedom you seek.
