Hi! Because of an upcoming move, I am working with Employee Assisted Program clients.

I am a licensed independent social worker, coming to social work after a decade and a half teaching college. Since my favorite part of teaching was supporting students, it was a natural shift to social work and now I get to help everyone! (And I still love supporting college students)

I am a heritage Spanish speaker, and I speak French, too. I suppose I like languages because I really enjoy every person I talk to, and the more languages I speak, the more people I can enjoy talking to. I have worked in community mental health, nursing homes, and hospice. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, grief and trauma. I also have a lot of experience helping with focus, motivation, student needs, along with a long background in LGBTQ+ and antiracist advocacy.

My style is warm, playful, and person-centered. I like meeting everyone "where they are", and for my clients to feel accepted, respected, and to drive the focus of sessions. I like to use a range of interventions tailored to each person and each person's situation.
