About

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker and licensed school adjustment counselor in Massachusetts. I earned my Masters in Social Work from Boston College and my Bachelors of Science from Northeastern University. I specialize in working with women to help them foster greater authenticity and joy, while navigating the complexities of life and the unique challenges women face in our culture. In addition, I specialize in working with those who suffer from chronic pain, helping them to reclaim healing and empowerment. I utilize Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), a mind-body program developed by Alan Gordon, LICSW that has scientifically been proven to reduce and eliminate pain.

My approach to therapy focuses on building a trusting and interactive relationship that offers a safe place to explore and uncover truths with expert guidance and clarity. I deeply believe in one's resiliency and my goal is always to help my clients more clearly see their innate strengths as the building blocks for change. While my clients are the experts on themselves, I can help teach the skills and tools needed to help make their desired changes.

I incorporate many different treatment modalities, but most commonly utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, mindfulness, and a mind-body connection approach. I am fascinated by the brain's neuroplasticity and our own ability to heal, re-wire and ultimately transform.

I have extensive experience working in a wide range of clinical settings including public schools, residential treatment programs, crisis stabilization programs and outpatient community mental health centers with young adults.

Living a life with less stress, pain, depression and anxiety is possible and reaching out and asking for help is hard, but as Glennon Doyle says “we can do hard things.”

I look forward to working with you!
