About
My goal as a therapist working in the profession for the past 25 years has been to find solutions that work for you, helping you to discover the true potential of your life, so everyday can be a celebration and feel like a breath of fresh air. There may be no magic button or quick-fix solution when it comes to therapy but we can work together to find comfort and resolve issues in the difficult areas of your life and the challenges you have to face. Through various techniques and long standing approaches with proven results, we will be able to determine what behavior and/or thoughts might be holding you back from living your best life and finding meaning in everyday situations.
Whether you are looking for support or guidance through a particularly difficult time or you are open to a real change in your life and where you are going, together, we can work meet your goals. Anyone dealing with any type of behavioral or emotional issue from depression to couple's counseling and everything in between is welcome.
I graduated from Hillsborough Community College in 1993 with an Associate in Science Degree in Human Services Technology. I continued my education at the University of South Florida and earned a Bachelor of Social Work Degree. I also have a Master of Social Work Degree specializing in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. In 2000 I became a licensed therapist and began working in private practice in 2002. My past work experience includes working as a therapist in schools, homes, outpatient settings, as well as couples and Military Families for several years.
Lastly, the treatment approaches that I frequently utilize are Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma Focused Therapy.
I hope you allow me the opportunity to work with you!
