ABOUT ME
My name is Eileen Ganong and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in two states, Florida and Idaho. I received my Master of Social Work in 2010 from Barry University in Miami, Florida. Since then I have worked as an inpatient social worker on an acute care psychiatric unit, supervised a large Mobile Crisis team, and done outpatient counseling in a community mental health setting. I have been doing Telehealth since March 2020 on video and telephone. All of these settings have one big thing in common. The people that I was dealing with were under a great deal of stress and a calm, supportive, nonjudgmental listener was needed. Problem-solving and working towards goals can only come after a full understanding of where a person is coming from, emotionally. Different approaches are needed for different people and you and your issues are unique to me. We can discuss therapeutic approaches at our first meeting.

I also feel that it is important that you express yourself if you feel your needs are not being met in counseling. I promise that you will not hurt my feelings and it is a good way for you to empower yourself and for us to get on the right track. I can only fix that if I know so please let me know. This often opens the door to an improved therapeutic relationship.
