About
If you are struggling to manage your emotions and it is impacting you or your relationships with others in any way, I can help you. Together we will develop a plan to get to the root of these feelings, process the trauma and challenge your thinking pattern into a healthier more realistic truth. Rather short or long term, therapy is a process and if you are willing to commit to feeling better and step into a healthier version of yourself then it is my pleasure to walk that path with you. Watching my clients begin to put the pieces to their puzzle together is what I love the most about being a mental health professional. I have worked with individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and co-occurring disorders and the most profound thing that I have learned is that we can improve ourselves at any point in our lives. The longest relationship we will ever have is the relationship with ourselves; life happens so fast we sometimes neglect our own emotional needs until it festers and become unbearable. I want you to know that no matter where you are on the emotional wellness spectrum, it is never too late or too early to heal and progress. Treatment modalities used includes but not limited to psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I earned my Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.?As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I have worked with diverse and vulnerable populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Through work experience and training, I have learned to see clients through a trauma-informed lens. My multi-faceted knowledge in safety planning and skilled crisis interventions have improved clients’ functioning in times of disarray. As a licensed clinical social worker, my goal is to assist individuals, families, and groups in reaching their highest potential.
