My name is Edward Jackson and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as an Ordained Minister. I am sincerely humbled that you are visiting my profile page. Let me begin by celebrating you on taking such a huge step. Embarking on a therapeutic journey can be both frightening and overwhelming. However, this confirms your desire to experience better life, and I am looking forward to helping you get there! What is your approach to therapy? As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am equipped with the skill set to work with individuals, couples, and families in their search for healing. Also, as an ordained minister I can work with individuals who are facing matters of spirituality. However, I want to be clear that in no way will I ever force spirituality into the conversation unless that is something you desire. My desire is that you be true to your authentic self! What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I will work extremely hard to make this process as welcoming and safe as possible. My entire motivation is to hear your heart, listen to what's being said, and work cooperatively to find a solution. At the end of every session, my goal is to leave you with something that you can carry throughout the week. Using that something, as a catalyst to creating new thoughts or perspectives on what you are facing, or motivating you to engage in a new action which will lead to better overall functioning.
