My name is Edna Stephens and I have been a Mental Health Counselor for 27 years. I am also a Supervisor where I help future Counselors prepare to serve and become competent and effective Counselors. I have served in the capacity of working in residential settings, community services, schools, and private practice. Over the past 27 years, I have worked with juvenile offenders, adults, families, teens, servicemen and women, and couples and conducted training for various organizations. I help individuals with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, PTSD, family conflict, peer relations, self-esteem, job-related stressor, parenting, marriage, divorce, coping skills, dual diagnosis, behavioral issues, spirituality, emotional disturbance, and conflict resolution. I strive to help others by using the appropriate counseling methods and modalities that are tailored specifically for their treatment. Some of these modalities are CBT, CPT, mindfulness, solution-focused, trauma-focused, reality therapy, and person-centered. I approach all of my clients with the end result to treat and help the person to become mentally and emotionally strong enough to help themselves.
