Hello! My name is Ebony. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, who is licensed to provide services in The State of Michigan. I have provided counseling services since 2011. I invite you to read my summary in hopes that you will find it helpful in discerning whether I am the professional for you.

Counseling Philosophy:

It has been my experience that has led me to develop a counseling philosophy that highly values the client’s input. I view my clients as experts and recognize the value of their involvement in the process. Therefore, I believe that my client and I must both be actively involved in the process to produce significant change, manage symptoms, and progress towards established goals.

Counseling Approach:

Because every person is unique and will establish various goals, there can be no cookie-cutter approach to treatment. I therefore maintain an eclectic approach (utilizing various approaches) to treatment, which has proved to be successful thus far.

Counseling Experience and Education:

I am a Mental Health Counselor who has provided individual and group therapy in outpatient and residential settings to various populations, including co-occurring, substance abuse, adults, and children. I received my Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. These two science based degrees have equipped me to provide clinical and evidence based practices.
