About
Hello,
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery, revelation and healing. It takes courage to start this journey, but you will find it most rewarding in the end. It would be an honor to join you on your path as I know it may not be an easy one. I will be patient, non- judgmental, unbiased, and accept you as you are but committed to assist you in working to achieve your goals.
My name is Ebony. I am a Licensed professional counselor licensed in Virginia with 10+ years working in mental health field. I have being doing therapy for the last 5 yrs. I have worked with many client issues and concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, childhood issues, relationship problems, parenting problems and more.
I provide a person-centered approach as I believe you are in charge of your journey and wellness. I will walk alongside you to provide guidance, support and empowerment. I will do that by using many different therapeutic techniques and counseling approaches including but not limited to Cognitive behavioral therapy, Person center approaches, Christian Counseling, trauma informed approaches and dialectical behavioral therapy.
Counseling begins with building a rapport and developing a safe space to build a therapeutic alliance. Therapy can be challenging but having an inviting safe place to share your life struggles and feelings is important. I am excited about the opportunity to work with you and assist you to grow in this next season of your life and support you to make strides towards change.
I look forward to meeting you!
