I have been through a lot of the problems that my clients are facing. The ones that I haven’t been through, I have watched my friends deal with them. Particularly in my relationship, I have had many of the challenges that my clients experience. Through working with other couples, I found my love for couples therapy during these difficult times. By helping other couples make their relationships better, I was able to help my own. Coming from a Caribbean background and having friends from all walks of life, I could see these issues from many perspectives. I got into therapy because I have always had amazing mentors and therapists who have helped me get through some tough times. Having those people made me want to be that person for others. As cheesy and simple as it may sound, my mission as a therapist is to help people become their best selves. I want to help couples realize that they can overcome even the most challenging problems in their relationships and provide you with the skills and strategies to sustain this on your own long after our work together. I am honest and to the point. I help my clients look at their life and situations from a fresh perspective. Force them to ask themselves the hard questions. I am very easy to talk to. I care more about your transformation as an individual/couple than about making money from a million sessions. I am a mom of two amazing young girls, I am a wife, and I have the most amazing friends that anyone could ever ask. They push me every day to be a better therapist, and they go on wild adventures with me, like camping in the woods in the middle of a pandemic.
