My name is Dwayne Edward Nickerson Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Utilizing evidenced based psychotherapy interventions, I can help you identify and change negative thoughts patterns, implement effective behavioral management strategies, replace negative behaviors with positive behaviors and live a more wholesome life. My approach I primarily utilize the following evidenced based approaches to treatment Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. My focus I typically work with patients that are struggling with Trauma and Substance abuse, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Stress and behavioral concerns. My communication style I utilize a team approach to treatment and encourage my Patients and/or Clients to ask questions, communicate concerns and actively participate in treatment. My goals for you Goal setting is Patient/Client specific, clear concise and measurable with a specific end date. My first session with you The first session with me will involve a psychosocial clinical assessment. Followed by goal setting and discussion of interventions.
