About
I have worked in the Bay Area of California as a therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as school-based, medical, and community agencies since 2002. I worked as a psychologist for Kaiser Permanente on a multidisciplinary pain management team treating individuals with chronic pain syndrome and in Kaiser's Psychiatry Department treating kids, teens, adults, and families. I have always been interested in the intersection of medicine and psychiatry. I have developed an appreciation for how medical, rheumatological, and neuroimmune conditions can affect mental health through my experiences working on a Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, serving as a psychologist for individuals with chronic pain syndromes, and my experiences helping those with inflammatory brain disorders. In my private practice, I work with individuals, couples, and families with a variety of concerns. I use a compassionate, collaborative, and active approach to therapy. I specialize in CBT and DBT, and I run several DBT groups for teens and adults, as well as for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
