(I provide teletherapy and in-office sessions, and am out of network at this time). Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. Many of our pitfalls, our "relapses" in behavior are often related to maladaptive patterns with family or partners. Our work in therapy is to understand these patterns, and learn to change them, towards a more authentic and mindful reality. I provide individual psychotherapy for issues related to relationships and life transitions (divorce, parenting, aging), interpersonal violence, trauma and abuse, mood and anxiety disorders, and cross-cultural adjustment. In addition, In the forensic, or court-related arena, I conduct psychological evaluations (Juvenile, Criminal, and Immigration courts). I have been in private practice in Westport, CT for over 25 years. I am currently Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale School of Medicine, where I supervise pre- and post doctoral interns. Previously I worked in the field of addictions in New York City , as well as providing intensive psychotherapy at the Karen Horney Clinic. I received my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University in New York. My pre-doctoral internship was at the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. I received my MA/ EdM in (Cross-Cultural) Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in NY.
