About
I am a licensed psychologist and educator with over 25 years of experience working with youth, adults, and families in a variety of settings including private practice, the public schools, and criminal justice system. I believe entrusting me with your well-being is a profound and sacred responsibility. As a coach and therapist, I see myself as a committed advocate, helper, and healer. My skill sets include psychological assessment, individual and group counseling, coaching, family intervention and support, crisis assessment and management, and treatment planning and consultation. I work in full partnership with my client and his/her recovery process, establishing meaningful and achievable goals and with great compassion and caring teach them how to hold themselves accountable. I strongly believe in my client’s capacity and desire to learn and change. I also believe in the complexity and challenges that come with wanting to change. I treat a variety of mental and behavioral health challenges including emotional and behavioral disorders, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and addiction. I consider stress to be a major source or contributor to most physical and emotional ailments, including addiction. I believe in the whole person, their capacity to overcome their challenges and in their desire to be better. Using a holistic approach that includes coaching, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy, clients gain and learn to use effective coping strategies tailored to each person’s belief system, culture, and circumstances. I help clients heal from their traumas and to become whole. I help clients achieve self-acceptance, recovery, life-work-balance, greater success, and lifelong wellness habits.
