I primarily focus on individual adults, couples, and family formats with a special emphasis on couples. Within those groups, I treat concerns such as: Infidelity and Betrayal Trauma Developmental Trauma Sexual Abuse Trauma Anxiety Depression Addiction Relationship issues I received a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Child Learning & Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. I am an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) and LPC-A (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate) and am currently under the supervision of Shawna Lewis, MS, LPC-S. My current affiliations are Texas Counseling Association, American Counseling Association, and Psychology Today. You are the owner of yourself, your struggles, and your solutions, and as such, your experiences are the map for our sessions. What we address will be determined by your ongoing experiences. I will actively guide that process to help you become more deeply aware of how you think, act, and feel, without telling you what to believe, how you should feel, or what you should do. As the facilitator, my job is to give you the tools for creating awareness, and together we will set measurable goals for your desired outcome. Tracy Carey is supervised by Shawna Lewis.
