About
Hello, I'm Dr. Tikesha Leslie-Jones. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience. I look forward to walking alongside clients in their self-discovery; building a strong therapeutic relationship and empowering clients to make positive changes in their lives. My approach I utilize CBT techniques in a client-centered environment to help my clients identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs that are causing them distress. It is also my goal to provide my clients with practical tools to manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being. My focus I have over 10 years of experience in treating patients with anxiety, depression, health issues, PTSD, phobias, relationship issues, self-esteem, and many other mental health issues. My communication style My goal is to create a therapeutic environment of mutual trust and transparency with the expectation that you will be fully accepted and heard wherever you are at that moment in time. My journey to therapy I have always had a natural inclination and curiosity to assist others which led me to desire to gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities that therapy requires. I am passionate about this work because I, like many of my clients have suffered and have seen the suffering of others from a mental health standpoint. I desire to be a part of the solution and to provide the support I lacked when I needed it. My goals for you It is important to me that my clients understand what they want to accomplish so that together we can create a plan to reach those goals. I am also aware that sometimes a client may not understand what they want to accomplish, and, in those cases, we work together to create goals that the client is comfortable with. My first session with you In the first session, I want to hear your story, whatever that may be. What brought you to where you are now. What you have done in the past and what you hope to do in the future.
