Dr. Theresa J. Canada is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider. It is my belief and philosophy that you feel comfortable with the professional counselor you choose, and that you are hopeful about the counseling process. I view counseling as a partnership between us. It requires your active involvement, and your best efforts to modify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will plan our work together. I have over 20+ years training future counselors and about 9 years in private practice. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, but methodology tends to be behavioral therapy focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy. The goal is to provide you the guidance needed to make the modifications you seek in your life situations. Areas of specialty: stress, anxiety, grief, parenting issues, ethnic inclusiveness, and women's issues. If you are interested in my approach, I welcome your participation on this journey.
