Hi, I'm Dr. Baker. I have been a licensed psychologist for over 22 years and I have worked with patients with a variety of concerns ranging from adjustment disorders and anxiety to severe mental illnesses such as bipolar and major depression. My formal educational journey began at the University of South Florida, to the University of Northern Colorado, to internship and residency in clinical psychology at Florida State Hospital. All of my education and training were APA approved. I was the chief psychologist for the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, and Senior Psychologist for the State of Florida and I have had private practices in both Florida and South Carolina. I have several tools in my counseling tool bag. I am solution focused. This is a future-oriented, goal-directed approach to solving problems of living focused on your strengths. I also use Gestalt theory at times. This is a humanistic, holistic, person-centered form of psychotherapy focused on your present life and challenges.
