Hello, I’m Dr. Barbre, or just Teena if it's easier. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am based in Orange County, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. My approach I set goals for myself and my clients, and treat every session as an opportunity to make progress. I approach therapy with an eclectic assortment of approaches and tools to individualize our work together to meet your needs best. My focus I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults and adolescents, who may be trying to manage anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions (including grief). I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a healthier and happier way of life. My communication style I listen to my clients, engage honestly, and tell them the things they need to hear. It can be difficult at times to look at your own behaviors, but it is a necessary part of the therapeutic process. You will come through better for it though.
