My name is Tammy Steiner, MS, PhD, LPC, NCC and I am a child, adolescent, and family therapist licensed in Pennsylvania and Alaska. I have over 3 years of clinical experience working with children, teens and adults. I graduated with a master’s degree in Psychology from University of Phoenix in 2010, a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Capella University in 2016, and a MS in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University in 2020. While using a variety of techniques, I tends to gravitate toward Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Solution Focused techniques. My areas of expertise include trauma and abuse, sexually inappropriate behaviors, ADHD, anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, identity issues, parenting concerns, and anger management. I am well versed in behavior modification, play therapy, and family therapy techniques. I also have experience and training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also have experience working with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex or questioning (LGBTQ+) community and I believe that every person deserves to be heard, known, accepted and respected.

My therapy style is supportive and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
