I began my interest in psychology and psychotherapy while in university. I have a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA. I have a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from the California School of Professional Psychology. Early on in my career, I was interested in Jungian analysis, and I have had my own analysis which involved a great deal of dream interpretation work. This early influence in my career led to a focus on psychological development, personal growth, and adaptive maturation. Over the years, I have focused more on addressing, reducing, and resolving problematic psychological symptoms. I use a psychodynamic perspective in addressing psychological issues. I have provided psychotherapy to adolescents, young adults, adults, and the elderly. I believe that our psychological symptoms are the opening to understanding ourselves better, and to increasing our self-development throughout our lifespan. I have been a licensed psychologist for 41 years, and I have been licensed or registered in California, Nova Scotia, Canada, and North Carolina (since 2015). I look forward to meeting with you and helping you to reduce or resolve your psychological challenges and to encourage your self-development and personal growth!
