I am an ordained non-denominational Christian minister as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois. I have over 37 years of pastoral counseling experience as well as over 16 years of professional mental health counseling experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including life transitions, grief and loss, aging, death and dying, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and finding purpose in life. I have also helped people who are trying to integrate faith with everyday living.

My counseling style is very relational and client centered allowing you to direct the topic and content of our conversations while I offer feedback and suggest appropriate counseling interventions as our counseling relationship unfolds. I treat each person as a unique creation of God showing respect, sensitivity and compassion for the challenges you are facing in life. I call upon a number of counseling tools when working with clients including Adlerian (early childhood memories, family relationships, life patterns and recurring dreams), Internal Family Systems (Parts Therapy) as well as Cognitive-Behavioral (thoughts and behavior interaction) counseling theories.
