I earned my doctoral degree in counseling psychology from The University at Albany. My research and clinical interests center on women's wellness, stress, and eating behaviors. What is your approach to therapy? I adopt an eclectic approach to my clinical work. I am psychodynamically trained so sometimes, I find it important to explore how past experiences may have impacted your current outlook and behaviors. I also strive to assist you in creating new thoughts and behaviors to create the life you desire. If you want a new life, you have to create it and if you're stuck- we'll get through it together. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? Outcomes depend on the client's goals and level of readiness. Sometimes stabilization and getting on sound footing could be the goal if someone is currently experiencing a rough patch. Sometimes gaining clarity on goals or finding direction can be an outcome. Sometimes an individual may need assistance or accountability to attain their goal. No matter where you are on this continuum, I am here to assist.
