About
I earned my Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Northern Illinois University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Hines VA Hospital and a post-doctoral fellowship in Adulty Psychiatry at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of Michigan and Florida and I specialize in treating psychological trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and sleep disturbances. I also provide LGBTQ+ affirming services. I have a graduate certificate in LGBT and Gender studies from Northern Illinois University and I am board certified in behavioral sleep medicine from the American Board of Behavioral Sleep Medicine.
I believe that there are many difficult experiences that are inherently part of the human condition; however, I also believe that you can learn the skills and techniques needed to manage, and in some cases overcome, the difficulties you experience. While I create a safe, affirming therapeutic environment, my approach to treatment is evidenced based and I only use therapeutic treatments and techniques that have scientific evidence to suggest that they work. My treatment style is dyadic and active and focuses on short-term, skills-based techniques aimed at directly addressing your specific issues.
My practice is a part-time practice and my availability is limited.
