Hello, my name is Dr. Rosalyn Johnson. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. I hold a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology, with a Specialization in Counselor Education and Supervision and completed a Post-Master's Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from Argosy University, Sarasota. I have a Master's degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and have a Bachelor's degree in Human Services. I have 10 years of clinical experience counseling children, adolescents, young and older adults, couples, and families. I am also a National Certified Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I am passionate about providing clinical supervision to post-master's clinicians in Florida and Georgia working towards obtaining state licensure as a counselor.

I work with clients with a number of mental health and substance use disorders and provide a non-judgmental, neutral stance to working with individuals, couples, and families. I believe whole heartedly in treating the whole person, by providing an integrated counseling approach which encompasses and promotes healing for your mind, body and spirit. Rather than focusing on the external factors and/or symptoms which contribute to certain mental health issues, my focus is to help individuals grow, heal, feel self-empowered, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and by customizing the counseling services I provide, so that it fits your treatment needs and current goals.

My clinical experience enables me to offer individualized, holistic, and person-centered care, tailored to meet each client's individual treatment needs. This is also achieved through the use of specific treatment approaches and modalities that I use when working with clients, such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, psychoeducation, and mindfulness meditation techniques.
