Dr. Ronie Gomes (she/her/ella) was born and raised in Nicaragua, she relocated to South Florida over 40 years ago. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) that provide counseling to individuals, couples, and families. She received a Master of Science Degree and a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern with a concentration in Medical Family Therapy. Her doctoral degree research focused on Afro/Black Latinx experiences living in the United States. Dr. Gomes specializes in Systemic, Collaborative, Narrative, and Strength-Based Therapy to counseling. She has over thirty years offering therapy in both Spanish and English in the areas of parenting, ADD/ADHD, culture/identity, immigration/migration, marital, pre-marital, and various relational concerns. She also offers Medical Family Therapy to support patients, therapists, physicians, and individuals in the medical field. Her goal is to empathize with each client so they can find unique ways to improve their life circumstances. How I can help What do know about being misunderstood and not appreciated for who you are?
