About

My name is Rochelle Frehling and I am a licensed Psychologist interested in working with people to learn how to more effectively manage their emotions and have healthier relationships with their selves and others. I am interested in blended family issues, divorce, and parenting using an eclectic approach tailored to your specific needs. My approach Through the therapeutic relationship, you can learn skills to become more resistant to stress, build up your self resiliency and learn about how to rework self-defeating patterns. I want to help you find your growth edge, support you in learning how to better yourself, help you to make better choices, and help stop perpetuating unhealthy cycles. Sometimes, because of things we have gone through in our past we learn protective strategies that end up keeping you stuck. My focus Sometimes, because of things we have gone through in our past we learn protective strategies that end up keeping you stuck. They might be helping you feel safer, but they may be shrinking your life and limiting your opportunity to be your best authentic self. We all have a need for relationships but sometimes historical experiences need to be reconciled so you can avoid carrying that into the present. We all can get triggered in relationships, but for some people that have been through traumatic experiences or are more genetically hard-wired to be emotionally sensitive, they can find their emotions overwhelming. Either you are too activated or too shut down. Do you ever feel like your nervous system is sabotaging your relationships? Hopefully, we can work together to understand the origin of the “trigger” experiences and learn how to regulate them, be more psychologically flexible, and move into a life that is less affected by fears. My communication style I aim to create a safe supportive space but also can be direct in my approach using a variety of modalities tailored to fit your needs.
