As an educator, researcher and psychotherapist, I've devised a simple, but effective 3-phase therapeutic approach to eliminating the lingering effects of painful past experiences.

Believing that we all suffer from at least some emotional wounds as a result of our past experiences, especially those who have been abused, I put my mental health expertise to work on developing Source Completion Therapy (SCT). SCT takes us on a journey of personal exploration and emotional healing built on the theory that we can only break free of the disabling effects of our hurts if we: 1. become fully aware of their true origins, 2. re-experience the pain, and 3. complete the healing process by effectively giving feedback to those responsible for the pain. Through this process I have helped others heal from anxiety disorders (phobias, obsessions, compulsions, panic...), depression, personality disorders, intense anger, stress, feelings of worthlessness, and hopelessness and have guided them to more functional and satisfying lives. My warmth, compassion and deep understanding of their pain have helped others feel trusting and comfortable with me on their road toward healing.

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Florida. As a former professor, I've taught counseling and psychology. As a writer and innovator in the field, I have appeared on radio, television, podcasts and streaming sites throughout the country. I put my therapeutic principles into practice at my Source Completion Therapy Center in Plainview, New York .
