Dr. Molly Arnold is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Family Therapy and a Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. Dr. Arnold has worked with families and children in counseling and casework capacities since 1993. She has additional experience and training in play therapy, and in couple and family therapy.
Dr. Arnold holds a strong systemic view of individuals and families, believing that individuals are best understood and healed within the contexts of their lives. Her primary clinical and research interests are counseling with families and couples, the parent-child relationship, high conflict litigation involving children, and counseling children within the family therapy context. Dr. Arnold is currently in private practice at Healthy Transitions in Flower Mound, Texas. She is a former visiting professor for the Graduate Counseling program at Texas Wesleyan University, and a former graduate adjunct professor at both Southern Methodist University and Texas Woman’s University. She is a former Child and Adolescent Director at Denton County Friends of the Family, and a former Child Protective Services caseworker in Dallas County.
Dr. Arnold is a trained mental health neutral for the collaborative law process. Additionally, Dr. Arnold is a trained mediator and Parent Facilitator/ Coordinator. She is a Past President of the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy, and previously was a Student Director for the Texas Association for Play Therapy. Additionally, she is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the Association for Play Therapy. In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Arnold is a volunteer advocate for Court Appointed Special Advocates in Denton County (Denton CASA).
