It was 2004 when I kicked off my career as a Clinical Psychologist. Since then, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and seniors in the treatment of Mood and Anxiety Disorder, Trauma and Stressor Related Disorder, ADHD/ADD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. From numerous sessions and research I have encountered and strongly believe in the client’s intrinsic ability to solve their current life challenge and or crisis. My job is to provide you with the support, guidance and tools needed to reframe and improve your current distress. I utilize a disciplined practice of thoughtful questioning that can enable you to examine the validity of long held believes and ideas that may keep you from moving forward in life. I take into account the mediating role of culture, family patterns, age, power inequities, as well as racial, religious/spiritual and gender norms to better address mental health problems. As such, I am passionate about infusing a multicultural approach in the therapeutic process. I am committed to forming a supportive therapeutic partnership in which your purpose for entering into the therapeutic process is honored.

I am a well-seasoned Caribbean woman and mother of an 8 year-old boy. On a day-to-day basis I experience the challenge of trying to balance motherhood, work demands and all that comes with being an adult/parent while trying to carve out time for myself. In those few precious moments to myself, I enjoy traveling, learning about and experiencing different cultures, cooking and gardening as well as spending time with family and friends. These are the things that bring me peace of mind, and reinforce my sense of purpose.
