Hi! My name is Maureen (Mo) Cuevas and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas with my MSSW in 1989 and with my PhD in 2002. I have been practicing in the mental health/behavioral health field since 1989. In this field, I have worked with individuals ranging in age from 10 years old to more than 75 years old in residential treatment, emergency shelters, group homes, individual, couples and family counseling. I even worked with Find A Therapist in the past for a period of time, mainly using online chatting and messaging as our modality. Currently I am open to other modalities, whatever will work best for you and your situation. My life has taken twists and turns since that time and I am excited to get back to counseling.

I have most of my experience working with adult individuals, adolescents, and their families. I have experience working with folks experiencing homelessness, anxiety, parenting problems, and relationship issues. I also have experience working with a wide range of diagnoses; ADHD to PTSD, Personality Disorders, Major and Bipolar Depression, and addressing concerns with life stressors that don't lead to a diagnosis but limit your ability to fully participate in the world. My experience involves working with individuals in and who participated in the foster care, child welfare, and probation systems as well as having several years experience working with individuals who have experienced suicidal ideation, self-harm, and emotional, physical, and sexual abuse.

I want to help you reach a place where your relationships with yourself and others are positive and productive; where you enjoy time alone and can communicate your needs, hopes, and care for others in a way that allows you to see the ways you compliment and can support one another. I want to help you learn how to work with and through personal trauma and develop healthy and productive relationships. I believe that this is possible for every person and that getting there is a process of self-discovery and insight for all involved.
