About

My name is Marco Pantoja I am a LMFT ,I provide a faith based practice where science and religion do not contradict each other, but run parallel with one another. My practice is aimed at simplifying mental health by identifying underlying reasons why the mental health symptoms are present. My approach My therapeutic approach is primarily Jungian and CBT however, I do meet my clients where they are at and am flexible in my approach. One can expect to explore their subconscious, develop coping skills, obtain insight into mental health, develop a strong circadian rhythm. My specialties include addiction, behavioral issues, underlying reasons why problem behaviors continue, trauma, development of coping skills, family issues, anxiety disorders, and many more. My focus From substance abuse and depression to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, I have over 12 years of experience working in the mental health field. I am comfortable with working with various types of diagnosis. My communication style Therapy does not have to feel like pulling teeth. My hope is to create an environment where important details of ones life can be discussed, but not at the expense of humor when appropriate. My journey to therapy My journey in becoming a therapist began in the 8th grade when I was raised in a home with a father battling with addiction. In my journey to become someone who is competent enough to fix my dad. During that process I realized some of the psychological issues I developed being raised in a hostile environment which caused me to fall in love with growing and psychology. My goals for you When setting therapeutic goals, it has been my experience that allowing clients to develop and set their own goals, increases their likelihood of achieving their goals. My first session with you During the first session clients should expect the opportunity to have an open discussion to make sure we are the right fit for one another.
