Welcome! I am so glad that you are here! It can be very difficult to enter therapy, so I applaud you in taking the first step towards your healing.

I am a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist (LCMFT) in the state of KS and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of WI. I am certified as a sex addiction treatment provider (CSATP), have a Bachelor of Science in psychology, a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a PhD in family life education, all from Kansas State University. I have over 14 years of experience as a therapist . Some of the most common issues that I have worked through with individuals is where there is a struggle with the PTSD related to trauma of childhood sexual abuse, relational issues such as communication and attachment, PTSD symptoms related to combat and traumatic brain injury with soldiers returning from battle. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals whose symptoms indicate there may be depression and/or anxiety.

My therapy style is informal but professional. I believe it is important that client feel some measure of leadership in our therapeutic relationship. With that said, I allow my clients to be the expert on their lives. My job is to come alongside and help guide the process toward healing. I strive to provide an environment where my clients can be themselves and feels free to express their thoughts and feelings related to their particular hurts, hangups and setbacks.
