My name is Dr. Kathy Jackson. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience in working with families and grieving individuals. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana. I obtained my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2014. I have extensive training as a Grief Recovery Specialist as well as training in helping families cope with Perinatal Death. I believe that grief is manageable and that you can still have a healthy, joyful life with the right skills.
Over the years I have worked with families and individuals to manage the stressors of life and understand that even though life throws us all curveballs, we can manage them in a healthy way and still live a life that is meaningful. I am also trained in the Infant Mental Health and work closely with families to understand how to secure proper attachment with infants and small children. I believe in listening, be respectful, following your lead for your recovery, and assisting you in assigning a new meaning to your situation and life.
