I am a licensed clinical social worker in Louisiana and a licensed independent clinical social worker in Minnesota with over 20 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and mental health coach. I am also a licensed addiction counselor and a licensed prevention professional in Louisiana. I am a certified employee assistance professional.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I also have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

My coaching style is also sincere and focused. Here are the types of coaching that are provided:

* Children, Teen, and College Student Coaching - Focuses on strengthening the youth against the risks they face in today's society, such as drugs and violence. It includes learning communication and negotiation skills, responsibility, and how to succeed academically.

* Parenting Coaching - Focuses on the need for parents to raise responsible, cooperative children who are prepared to meet the challenges of the teen years and beyond. It includes learning positive, discipline techniques, and encouraging one’s children’s academic success.

* Relationship Coaching - Focuses on strengthening relationships, such as a marriage. It includes relationships between parents and children, friends, and in business.

* Communication Coaching - Focuses on improving communication skills and increasing personal and professional opportunities. It includes learning thinking skills and the ability to relate to others.
