About

I am a licensed clinical social worker and have worked with clients in Georgia for over 8 years. My clients have had a variety of concerns including trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am currently an Assistant Professor and teach master's level practice skills courses. I'm also teaching a course specifically focused on working with survivors of trauma. Additionally, I work with social service organizations where I provide evaluations and recommendations to help improve client services. My varied social work experience has given me more insight and understanding of human behavior and the impact of the environment on an individual. This has greatly enhanced my work as a clinician.

My counseling style is compassionate and empowering. It is important to me to create a safe and warm environment for my clients where they feel heard and supported. My approach uses components of cognitive-behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, and solution focused therapy. No matter which approach or combination of approaches are used, all interventions and interactions are trauma-informed and strengths-based. Everyone is unique and presents with their own specific needs. As such, we will work together to design a treatment plan to assist you in reaching your goals.

I believe everyone is the expert in their own life and that as a clinician I am only here to help guide you on your journey.
