About

I am a clinician who believes in beginning again and that you too can find health and a life you choose.
I have experience with people of all ages and developmental stages from attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, severe and pervasive mental illness, health related issues, trauma, work life balance, and relational issues. I have a passion to help those who have been wounded in life and/or by their decisions.

I went back to school for my first masters in Counseling Psychology in 2002 while raising four young children, who had a combination of Asperger's and ADHD. I quickly decided I needed more education so I moved into additional education opportunities and in 2012 graduated with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University.

I believe in meeting a person where they are at. Often you know what the problem is but need help finding the way through the problem or pain. I see myself as a light holder and sometimes the map holder.

I utilize an integrative model for my therapeutic work including: Client Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Solution Focused and use some dialectical behavior skill building. Additionally, I value the psycho-social-biological-spiritual needs and focus of my clients and am versed in cultural concerns and will always consider them in treatment plans.
