My name is Dr. Karen Roland Douglass; I have dedicated my life to working with children and families for over 34 years. I received my Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2002 from Adler University. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the states of Illinois and Indiana. I have held key leadership positions in both the public and private sectors. While employed with the City of Chicago Department of Public Health, I developed and implemented the first Child and Adolescent Program at the Chatham-Avalon Mental Health Center. I am currently a tenured Professor of Psychology at City Colleges of Chicago, in addition to filling the interim position of the Director of Kennedy King College’s Wellness Center. I am the founder and CEO of Gilead Behavioral Health, a small community mental health clinic in the Chatham- Avalon Community. In addition, I work in the areas of pain management and veteran affairs.
